Rather amazed here. Last summer beetles were flying everywhere. Since most of the damage occurs in the later part of the year, and winter pushes the grass over the edge, it's not bad looking. It appears that feeding my lawn, and using Milky Spore has worked. I have limited damage, although grub damage is present.
So the goal this year is to fill in the thin areas with new seed, protect the lawn from weeds and this time get Japanese beetle traps up fast enough to really put a dent into the overall population.
I will evaluate is another (3 year) application of Milky Spore is needed. There is Milky Spore in the ground, and there are obviously white grubs, so the Milky Spore concentration is naturally growing. I'll fill you in as I go.
