White Grubs and Japanese Beetles, OH MY!

Fertilizing to keep the grass strong...

It seems from what I've read and seen in true life, the grubs are most active in the summer and fall. The damage I see in the spring is actually done in the fall, early winter. I'm guessing the grass not having as much Sun, it can't cope with the attack and whole patches die. Well, only being a short time(into second year now) since I started Milky Spore, I have to be prepared for another yard filled with dead patches. I've been fertilizing to help keep the yard strong, but I think it's just resulting in better grass for the grubs to eat. I think I'm raising Super-Grubs. :\
