I have found an interesting product, Trying Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate. If you get the chance to fully read the product's label, then you will find that it works from the inside out of the tree or shrub. I don't know if it actually 'kills' since I think the Japanese Beetles would still eat the tree till they die, but I hope it makes the tree undesirable to the Japanese Beetles to eat. I have already bought enough for my three effected trees, and some shrubs. Remember I do not have a large yard, but I do have a thriving Japanese Beetle population to test this product on. I'll up date you, but Trying Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control's product label says it can take up to 3 months before the product 'works'. I wish I found this earlier to give it an honest test.
