White Grubs and Japanese Beetles, OH MY!

WHITE LAWN GRUBS! NO!

Well it's confirmed I have a serious grub problem. My trees are now covered in beetles, after some web searching and talking to local nursery, I have Japanese Beetles. I am instructed to poison everything. That is the only way to go, I am advised. What is the point of having a yard, I my family can't play in it, because it's toxic. I research my options. I find out Seven is less toxic to birds and small mammals verse diazinon, but my happy earthworms will be gone as well. I also find out if I apply it to a tree, it washes off and requires me to reapply. I don't want to go the poison route, so I buy a Japanese Beetle trap and check a lead on nematodes and milky-spore.
